KATHMANDU, MAY 14An Indian couple who served at different health facilities in Ahmedabad successfully scaled Mt Everest, according to expedition organizers.
First Uruguayan, Emirati women among others scale Everest
Only Ukraine woman, first Salvadoran scale Everest
Rishi Bhandari, Managing Director at Satori Adventure, said that Hemant Lalitchandra Leuva and Surbhiben Hemant Leuva stood atop the world's highest peak at around 8:30am on Friday becoming the first Indian doctor couple to climb Mt Everest.
City-based surgeon Hemant is a professor of surgery at NHL Municipal Medical College and his wife Dr Surbhi works as chief medical officer with Gujarat Vidyapith.
The couple made it to the top of Mt Everest with the message of saving the environment, he added.From Satori Adventure, Somat Chandubhai Chetariya, Gala Devin Kishore, Luca Renato Montanari, Andrea Lanfri and Rahul Bairwa along with Mingma Temba Sherpa, Tendi Sherpa, Lakpa Tashi Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, Furte Sherpa, Anup Rai, Phurba Sherpa, Pemba Ongdi Sherpa and Ongdak Sherpa also scaled Mt Everest, he added."Domenec Trastoy Diaz, David Iranzo Nosas, Ronald Quintero, Pasang Tenzing Sherpa, Sange Sherpa and Ngima Sherpa from Satori Adventure scaled Mt Lhotse on Friday," he informed.
